Laura James

Laura from the Latin meaning of crown. I would say a crown of music as this is the only pride I wear. From singing wonderful tonight on acoustic with a family friend progressed into shows, performance and production... I have been a singer-songwriter for five years now. It all started writing journals from the age of 12. I found keeping intense emotions closed away in a book was never going to really show my true self. I started picking bits out of old memories and replacing them with poems which progressed to songs. Alot of my music comes from real life experiences as i feel this can reflect on other peoples past and present. I then joined a music course in East London where I learned how to produce, record and structure a song. I met some great people along the way who had the gift/talent for this industry. They gave me a strong love for music and I will always keep them in my heart as i progress. This astounding opportunity gave me great pleasure, as I was lucky enough to work alongside back-up band for SugarBabes, interviewing Bushkin from Heartless Crew and top DJ Lloyd Life. I got involved with promoting a showcase called "Open Minds" at Stratford Circus where I performed my first track "Never Gonna Change". The night was a success with acts like Soundboy Ent, Dragonfly and an outstanding sketch from BBC London Eddie Nester. I have also recorded a group album and music video which will also be featured on my page very soon.... Since recording my above tracks I have stepped out to work on my vocals and songwrting. I now feel I have many fresh flavours to bring to the mic. Keep an eye out for my new tracks coming soon.... The times when i feel most deeply that I have done something creative are the times when I have thrown myself wholeheartedly into a task and fought it through unstintingly to it's conclusion.. Thanks for taking the time out to read this feedback is also a great thing he! He! Love Miss Laura James xx
